The reason? It's simple...For decades we have witnessed people trying to get stronger using only the resistance of their own bodies. At parks, play grounds, gymnasiums, in physical education classes, military, and at home, millions of people rely on their body weight to get in shape.
Your body weight is a piece of equipment that can always be taken with you. We applaud your choice. It's just that most people are not exposed to a variety of body weight exercises. Most people do hundreds of push ups, neglecting other muscles. Squats, sit-ups, chin ups, dips are an average body weight work out.
